On the occasion of International Earth Day 2009 on Wednesday, the Heartbeat group, a group of young artists, in association with Leo Club and YES Nepal, is organising an art workshop at Basantpur on Wednesday morning. The workshop Art for Social Change will bring together disadvantaged children for an awareness campaign on different environment issues.
According to organisers, around 20 street children will participate in the event. “We hope the use of colours in paper will give the children a chance to voice their concerns and raise awareness among the public through their creative expression on environments,” said programme coordinator Juju Kaji Maharjan.

Heartbeat is a volunteer group of young local artists which has been active in the field of Art for Development (Art4D) for the past five years. They initiate and run many art workshop and art-related activities with disadvantaged children to support social causes. The U.S. first celebrated the Earth Day in 1970.

Introduction

  Heartbeat is a  group   of  local artist, social worker and divers sector  that has been very active since    in the field of art for  development  for  last  five year and social cause .  Heartbeat has initiate many  creative  art  event average 50 and activities  and contributes   for society . Hungerfree, children art workshop with Action Aid  international and celebrating  children  right   in human right day  with Art4d  France are  some example  work. Heartbeat  already  work and  exhibition more   10  national  and   some  few   exhibition for   aboard     more and   20 workshop    by the  group member. Heartbeat is Reputed  leading informal group in national and International arena.

Heartbeat   working with      more than  15 children    organization  and    with  Ingo, Cbos , youth  org  ,group  through medium  of   visual  arts   for  social    cause like  migration, development ,food   and human  right  to drugs  and  poverty many other “Art for social change”  and interconnecting  as  Art is common language as our motto.The Dream of   heartbeat is  As  heartbeat Foundation in future.

Most of street children has there habit as Glue sniffing. it effects there brain directly n senseless .
I am working for street children around the bastanpur newroad area I saw the situation of there is dangers while they are smoking glue sniffing as as there habit for cheap Drugs which they buy fir cycle and shoe repairing shop around the shop like Ason Bhotahity , kalimat as example in average Rs 5o which things among they share with 4 or 5 children . if one street children is using they got enough for whole day as relax.
Street c children sniff cause to forget hunger and pain of there days and night. The people around are give some money for children that might help some for them and give money to them when children ask with kind heart and voiceless speech people gave some money in sense of humanity to children but it was wrong as right things to help also which is help to add more addicts to health of u want to help then buy food directly to them no money around street like newroad ,banstanpur, jamal etc. government have to make policy and put in harmful drug and shopkeeper have stop sales to glue to street children .
I was while traveling around town I saw now a days so many younger generation also copy glue sniffing due to lack of money to take expensive drugs like brown sugar, ingestion etc which the thing are spoiling social surrounding.
the street children are getting money in senses people acting of broken head and wounded hand using artificial colors red to sense of blood as like on street like Jamal.
We are thought that we need help them and gave some money to children but u are helping and spoiling the way to cheap drugs glue sniffing so the careful are no Be aware while street children around you for asking money.
the children are backbone of nation as well street children are also part of society we should share care
